Liz Hunter is Head of Transport Policy at the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, having previously worked at Leeds City Council as the Transport Strategy Manager.
Liz moved to the region nearly five years ago after ten years in the civil service in London working at the Department for Transport (DfT), HM Treasury and HS2 Ltd. Liz’s last role in Government was as Deputy Director for the Strategy Unit at DfT. Liz has worked across a range of transport topics and been involved in spending rounds in both DfT and Treasury. At the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Liz works closely with partners to develop and deliver the Transport Strategy including how to improve the rail network for passengers and freight.
